Basic Cake Decorating

Have you ever wanted to learn how to decorate a cake but thought it was too complicated? Yes, decorating a cake is an art, but you can learn to do it! Join us as we introduce you to the world of the cake decor in a hands on environment. In this 4 class series you'll learn:

Class 1 - Basics of frostings - how to make buttercream and how to torte, fill, crumb coat and frost a cake
Class 2 - Basic piping techniques - how to fill a decorating bag, use a coupler and how to use the star, shell, drop flower and leaf tips
Class 3 - Basic piping techniques using basketweave, star, shell, drop flower and leaf tips
Class 4 - Basic piping technique using round tips, basketweave, star, shell, drop flower and leaf tips

You will be required to provide your own decorating/piping bags, tips and a frosted 8 inch cake for classes 2 through 4. Supply lists will be provided the first day of class. Classes are held on Wednesdays, February 15th, February 22nd, February 29th and March 7th. There are no makeup dates for classes missed.
