Murat DayChef Murat Day, CEC, WCC, AAC brings a world of fine dining experience to the kitchen, literally. Having begun his career in Turkey, his culinary expertise has been honed in both Europe and America. Classically trained, Chef Murat’s culinary reach includes the international cuisines of Europe, Latin America, as well as, classic and modern interpretations of Continental and American Regional foods.

He has hands on experience working as an Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director, General Manager, and has owned his own restaurants with 5 star recognition. He is fluent in English, French, Turkish, Spanish, and speaks some German. He has taught Culinary Arts for over 15 years, developing curriculum that prepares students for the rigors of the kitchen. He is a faculty member of the International Culinary Schools of the Art Institutes and has taught for Palomar College, National Culinary School and the US Department of Labor. He joins Alchemy of the Hearth as chef instructor for the Professional Culinary and Catering Programs.
